Book fair in Arromanches

Visiteurs aux salon du livre Arromanches

On Saturday 30 May 2026, the village hall in Arromanches hosted its book fair – *Les Pages du Débarquement* – dedicated to history and remembrance. On this occasion, 23 authors were present to meet the public, discuss their books and share their research.

The history of Arromanches, Mulberry Harbour, the D-Day landings, the Occupation, the role of women during the war, children facing the events of 1944, the role of priests… these were just some of the themes explored during the meetings and book signings.

The fair also gave pride of place to comic books and children’s literature, to make the experience accessible to all audiences. It was an event rich in discussion, which highlighted the diversity of perspectives on the history of the Second World War and the D-Day landings.

We look forward to seeing you next year for a new edition of the Arromanches Book Fair.
