INDIVIDUAL VISITOR

On your own, or with family or friends, explore the D-Day Museum armed with an audio guide, while experiencing the unique backdrop of the remains of Mulberry B, the Arromanches prefabricated harbour.

Featuring archive footage, collection items, animated models, a unique monumental projection and much more, the 7 sequences cover 1,200 m2 of exhibition space chronicling the history of the British and American artificial harbours and their pivotal role in the Battle of Normandy. Prepare to be captivated by the D-day Museum for an hour and a half !

THE VISIT FOR KIDS

To accompany our youngest visitors, the museum offers an audio guide specially designed for children aged 6 to 10. Throughout the exhibition, they will meet Pierre, a little boy who recounts the experience through his own life. With his childlike words and innocent perspective, Pierre shares his memories of the war, making history tangible, accessible, and relatable. A gentle and educational immersion to understand the past while following the adventures of an engaging narrator.

ADULT GROUP (MIN. 20 PEOPLE)

You will be provided with an audio guide, to help you explore the D-Day Museum. An introductory film will be shown in the cinema (capacity – 126) before you proceed to the first floor to begin your visit. Archive films, collection items, animated models, a unique monumental projection and much more are presented over the 7 sequences, to increase your appreciation of the major role played by the Arromanches prefabricated harbour (Mulberry B) in the Battle of Normandy.

Visit the D-Day Museum with your pupils and let them discover the history of the Arromanches prefabricated harbour (Mulberry B) in a fun and educational way!

Begin your visit with a film to set the scene, before heading up to the museum’s first floor to explore the various exhibition spaces. These include a projection about the five D-Day Landings beaches, animated historical models of the prefabricated harbour, a 25 m2 video map and a unique monumental projection, all of which will help you to understand the importance of the harbour to the Battle of Normandy.
