From 5 to 7 June<\/strong>, Arromanches came alive with living history during the Churchill re-enactment camp. For three days, the town was once again filled with the unique atmosphere of major commemorations, marked by the passing on of history, encounters and shared emotion.<\/p>\n Set up in the heart of Arromanches, this re-enactment camp allowed visitors to immerse themselves in the history of the D-Day landings and the Second World War, getting up close to those who bring it to life with such passion. Uniforms, vehicles, everyday objects, and conversations with the re-enactors: every detail invited young and old alike to gain a better understanding of this decisive period in our history.<\/p>\n Over 3,000 visitors came to explore the camp<\/strong>, meet the participating associations and share a moving moment centred on remembrance. Throughout the weekend, the smiles, the public\u2019s curiosity and the many enthusiastic responses bore witness to the deep attachment felt for these events dedicated to passing on history.<\/p>\n
